Tics Tacs & Toes ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we handle information when you use our mobile application.

Information collected for online multiplayer:

• Anonymous session identifier: The app may store a random identifier on your device so online games can tell players apart in a room. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
• Room codes: When you create or join an online game, a room code is used to connect players in the same session.
• Game state: Board positions, scores ("strikes"), whose turn it is, and related gameplay data are stored temporarily on our backend while a match is active so all players stay in sync.

Information collected automatically:

• Technical data: Our service provider (Google Firebase) may process standard technical information such as IP address, device type, and network requests needed to deliver real-time multiplayer.

2. What We Don't Collect

• We do not require you to create an account or sign in with Apple, Google, or email.
• We do not ask for your real name, email address, or phone number inside the app for normal gameplay.
• When you play locally (solo or pass-and-play on one device), gameplay data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers for that session.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above only to:

• Run real-time online multiplayer and match players in the same room
• Keep game state consistent for all participants during a match
• Improve reliability of the service

4. Third-Party Services

We use Google Firebase (including Firebase Realtime Database) to power online play. Google may collect and process data as described in Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Data Retention

Online room and match data are kept only as long as needed for active or recently finished sessions and routine operation, then may be removed or overwritten. Local game data on your device remains until you uninstall the app or clear app data.

6. Children's Privacy

The app is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what is needed for anonymous online play as described above. If you believe information was collected improperly, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Use local play modes without sharing data with our servers
• Stop using online play at any time
• Contact us with questions or requests regarding privacy

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
