How to Play
Dots & Boxes is a classic strategy game. Players take turns drawing lines between adjacent dots. When you complete a square, you claim it and earn a point. The player with the most boxes when the grid is full wins.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I play locally?
Choose "Play Local" on the home screen. Two players share one device and take turns. Pass the phone or tablet between turns.
How do I play online with friends?
Choose "Play Online." One person selects "Host Game," picks a grid size, and shares the room code. Others select "Join Game" and enter that code. Everyone joins the same room to start.
My friend can't join my room. What should I check?
Make sure you're both using the same room code (it's case-sensitive). Check that you have an internet connection. If it still fails, try hosting a new room.
What do the grid sizes mean?
Beginner (6×6) is quick and easy. Intermediate (8×6) and Expert (10×8) offer larger boards and longer games for more strategy.
Does the app work offline?
Local play works fully offline. Online multiplayer requires an internet connection.
