Support for PixiePen
Help for writing stories, using your voice, sharing with a parent’s approval, and making e-books.
How PixiePen works
Create an account, write a story, and add pictures from your photo library. You can dictate with the microphone and listen to a story read aloud. Children send stories to a parent before they appear in the community. Finished stories can be collected into an e-book.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create an account?
Open the app and choose Sign Up. Parents use their own email. A child can use their own email, or sign up with a username linked to a parent’s email.
Why can’t I sign in?
Check the email and password, and make sure the device is online. If you just signed up with an email address, open the verification message and confirm the address first.
A child’s story is not in the community.
Stories written by a child stay private until a parent approves them. The parent signs in, opens Parent Approvals, and approves the story.
The microphone or photo library permission was denied.
On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then PixiePen, and turn on Microphone, Speech Recognition, or Photos. Dictation needs the microphone and speech recognition. Adding a picture needs photo library access.
How do I delete an account?
Sign in, open Profile, then Settings, then Delete Account. Enter the account password to confirm. This removes the profile, stories, e-books, and uploaded photos for that account.
